  6. This document describes the Common Lisp User Interface Environment (CLUE), a
  7. portable system for user interface programming in Common Lisp.
  8. CLUE is based on the X Window System[#x-window-system#<tex2html_cite_mark>#1##<tex2html_cite_mark>#] and extends X to
  9. provide an architectural model for the construction of interactive
  10. Lisp applications.
  11. In this model, a user interface is composed of a set of abstract interface
  12. objects.  CLUE defines the basic programmer interfaces for defining
  13. interface object types, creating interface
  14. objects, and using them to control the dialog between the application and its
  15. human user.
